When you subscribe via the "Follow the experiment" form, I collect:

I do not collect any other personal data, I do not use profiling cookies, I do not track your navigation, and I do not measure email opens.

Your data are used exclusively to send you a very limited number of updates about the pilot study: Day 1 launch, mid-experiment observations, Day 31 results. At most 3–5 emails over 30 days.

Legal basis: your consent, given when subscribing (art. 6(1)(a) EU Regulation 2016/679 — GDPR). I will never use this data for commercial marketing, profiling, or anything beyond what is stated above.

Any time, using one of the two ways:

After unsubscription your address remains in the database only flagged as unsubscribed, to prevent accidental re-subscription. Within 30 days after the end of the study (May 24, 2026), the entire list — including unsubscribed addresses — will be deleted.

Mailing list data are retained for the duration of the study (April 24 — May 24, 2026) plus 30 days to deliver the final results. After that period the entire list is deleted, unless you ask for earlier deletion, which is honored within a few days.

The mailing list resides on a MySQL database hosted on a server located in Italy (Bologna). Emails are sent through Gmail's SMTP service (Google Ireland Ltd., external data processor, with GDPR guarantees provided by the Google Workspace agreement).

No personal data from the mailing list are shared with any other vendor, partner, or third party.
